Today, we have come up with our list of best villains of 2011. To make this list, the author did an outstanding job of either getting us fall in love or at least sympathize strongly with the villain.
How the experts (not really) define a best villain:
Kris: the ones you wish would turn good, so the author will spare their lives
Hikari: the totally hot ones who somehow turn evil anyway

- Archer from Hushed by Kelley York - Smart, tormented, and never gets caught by authorities.
- Asher from A Beautiful Dark by Jocelyn Davies - A hot rebel with inner goodness. (So he's really an antihero of sorts.)
- Belial from Misfit by Jon Skovron - He should have won. Seriously.
- Cadan from Angelfire by Courtney Allison Moulton - Hot and mysterious, with an unknown objective
- Cam from Passion by Lauren Kate - He's hot with an attitude
- Death from On a Dark Wing by Jordan Dane - He's a sweet, lonely guy
- Logan Bane from Wolfsbane by Andrea Cremer - You just want to give him a hug, provided he won't turn on you
- Murtagh from Inheritance by Christopher Paolini - He's cool; we want to see the brothers fight together on the same side!
- Sam from Hallowed by Cynthia Hand - He's ancient and filled with sorrow
- Rosto from Mastiff by Tamora Pierce - He needs more screen time. Period.
